Prime Day Microsoft Office deal: Word, Excel and PowerPoint for PC and Mac

Prime Day Microsoft Office deal: Word, Excel and PowerPoint for PC and Mac

It’s now only a few hours until Amazon Prime Day draws to a close, but the Lightning Deals (Amazon’s short term offers) are still coming thick and fast. We’re doing the legwork for you and shaking the little nuggets of deal gold from the silt washing up with each release of new Lightning Deals.

One such nugget that is currently available is the Microsoft Office Home and Student 2016 edition. You can get the package for either PC or Mac and is a good way to get your hands on the basic Office package.

The PC version is a significant 44% off RRP, down from £99.99 to £56.20. The Mac is less significant, but still takes 30% off, from £94.00 to £65.99.

In order to get your hands on these deals, you will need to be a Prime member. Don't worry if you aren't, you can sign up for a 30 day free trial and still benefit from all the discounts for Prime Day.

The Home and Student package contains Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. It doesn’t contain Publisher, Access, the cloud storage or Skype minutes that come with the Office 365 package, but does benefit from being a one-off payment for lifetime ownership.

As this is a Lightning Deal it’ll only be available until 21:35, and if demand is high enough, may well sell out before.
