Lara vs Alvarez live stream: how to watch tonight’s boxing online from anywhere

Cuban-American fighter Erislandy Lara tonight gets a chance to avenge his 2014 split-decision defeat to Canelo Alvarez – this time with a square-off against his older brother Ramon. With a title up from grabs, it should be a compelling fight, so be sure to follow our Lara vs Alvarez live stream guide carefully. As well as the WBA Super Welterweight belt being up for grabs, tonight’s showdown will also see the winner get to face WBA “gold” champion Michel Soro.
Originally from Guantanamo, Cuba and now living and training in Houston, Erislandy “The American Dream” Lara comes into tonight’s fight off the back of a frustrating draw against then-WBA ‘regular’ titleholder Brian Castano back in March. That fight came after a split-decision defeat for the southpaw against Jarrett Hurd in a clash for the WBA, IBF and IBO junior middleweight belts in April last year. His opponent tonight is Mexico-based 33-year-old Ramon Alvarez who has a mediocre record of 28-7-3 going into tonights fight, and is some way short of the calibre of his brother Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Having only won five of his last nine fights, any sort of result here against Lara will be regarded as a shock.Among the night’s undercard action is middleweight Kyrone “Shut It Down” Davis (13-2, 5  taking on Alexis Gaytán while unbeaten Cuban prospect Joahnys Argilagos takes on  Julio García in a super flyweight battle. To catch everything online, you’ve come to the right place. How would you like a side of MMA with your breakfast? UFC returns with Fight Night 157 in the early hours of Saturday morning beaming all the way from China. The event will be held in Shenzen for the very first time as UFC continues its quest for global ultimate fighting dominance. That means this one kicks off earlier for MMA fans in the US with the main card starting at 6am ET, 3am PT on ESPN+. We’ll explain how much it costs and how it works below so that you’re completely clued up on how to live stream UFC 157.
There are five matches on the main Fight Night 157 card (following six in the prelims) with plenty of local interest across the men’s and women’s divisions. China meets Brazil as welterweights Li Jingliang and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos go head-to-head in the Octagon, while Jamahal ‘Sweet Dreams’ Hill represents American interests with a light-heavyweight match-up against Da Un Jung. But undeniably the main attraction is the match in the main event spot – a Women’s Strawweight Championship bout where the awesome Jessica Andrade puts her belt on the line against the Chinese Weili Zhang. If you know anything about Andrade then you know just how dangerous she can be, and she is looking like a mighty champion after winning the belt from Rose Namajunas back in May. But Zhang is currently on a 19 fight win streak and shouldn’t be underestimated as a challenger.UFC Fight Night China is set to be a real stunner and you can watch it in its entirety. All the fights can be watched in the US exclusively online via the ESPN+ subscription service. So keep reading to see your viewing options to get a UFC live stream, whether or not you’re in the US this weekend.

OnePlus 7T series rumored to be unveiled in India on September 26

OnePlus 7T series rumored to be unveiled in India on September 26

The OnePlus 7 Pro was one of the best flagships of 2019. In true OnePlus fashion, we will now get a “T” variant with upgraded specifications and other minor refreshes. As per the latest rumors, the launch date has been set for September 26.Historically, OnePlus’ T series flagships have been announced in mid-October. Taking that into consideration, a September-end launch is a little unusual. Moreover, leakster Ishan Agarwal suggests that the OnePlus 7T series will launch in India first, before making its way to other countries in the coming weeks. The keynote will take place in the capital city of New Delhi.
OnePlus 7T specifications
The cheaper variant and the successor to the OnePlus 7 will supposedly be powered by the much-anticipated Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which was expected. The base RAM will be 8GB, up from 6GB along with a minimum of 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The batteries also said to get a slight bump to 3,800 mAh, and should support 20W fast charging. Other hardware changes include two new colour variants, viz. Frosted Silver and Haze Blue. The OnePlus 7 had a 48MP primary camera along with a 5MP depth sensor. However, the leak mentions that the OnePlus 7T will bring massive upgrades to the camera department by bringing a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary camera, augmented by an ultrawide lens and a telephoto camera. The camera housing will now be circular in shape, and is one of the most evident design changes for this generation. The camera will be able to shoot 960fps slow-motion video, Nightscape, Portrait mode and the much-awaited ultra-wide video recording. The most exciting change on the OnePlus 7T comes with the display, as the leak suggests a new 6.55-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a smaller notch. This is a major step up from the modest 6.4-inch FHD+ panel with a 60Hz refresh rate that we on the OnePlus 7. Unless OnePlus has figured out a way to slim down the bezels, the 7T will have a slightly bigger footprint.
OnePlus 7 ProThese upgrades bring the OnePlus 7T very close to the OnePlus 7 Pro, which could mean an increase in the price. If priced right, the 7T will pose a threat to the Redmi K20 Pro and the upcoming Lenovo Z6 Pro which are both great affordable flagships in India. The leak didn’t mention much about the OnePlus 7T specifications or upgrades, but we expect the Snapdragon 855 Plus to make an appearance, along with a bigger battery and probably improved cameras. OnePlus 7 series were often hailed as the fastest Android devices around, thanks to high-end internals and well-optimized OxygenOS. The OnePlus 7T series are likely to continue that trend. We’re just a month away from the official launch where we will know more about both these devices.

Free Netflix alternative Tubi restarts global rollout with Australian launch

Free TV- and movie-streaming site Tubi has announced plans to launch its service in Australia, with an initial library of around 7,000 titles set to go live this Sunday, September 1. That range will include hit movies such as The Blair Witch Project, 3:10 to Yuma, Kickboxer and more, and Tubi has promised to expand the library with more titles in the coming months.Based in the US, Tubi offers free, ad-supported access to around 15,000 titles from major studios including Warner Bros., NBCUniversal, MGM and Lionsgate in its home territory. The service supports streaming to a wide variety of devices – it has Chromecast support, alongside dedicated apps for Android and iOS phones and tablets, Sony and Samsung smart TVs, and video game consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Users are required to sign up for a free account, after which they can watch any of the service’s ad-supported movies and TV shows at no cost.
Disney Plus streaming service now has an Australian launch date and pricingApple TV Plus release date, price info and everything you need to knowFree movies online: how to stream flicks for nix in AustraliaTubi was previously available in parts of Europe, but had to cease its service there in 2018 due to its inability to comply with the region’s newly-introduced GDPR privacy protection laws. Tubi has said that it plans to relaunch in Europe, but hasn’t yet offered any concrete information on when that’s likely to occur. In Australia, Tubi faces a burgeoning (if not downright crowded) local scene when it comes to video-streaming services. Netflix is the dominant name when it comes to paid, subscription-based options, but there’s also plenty of local competition, with the likes of Stan, Amazon Prime Video, Foxtel Now and the upcoming Disney Plus all vying for the Aussie consumer’s attention. However, with few truly free options when it comes to movie and TV streaming in Australia, Tubi could certainly have appeal Down Under. Currently, Australian consumers are limited to major TV networks’ catch-up services, or the likes of Kanopy – a site which partners with public libraries to offer members access to a variety of major movies. Sony’s Crackle was available for a number of years in Australia, but closed its local operations earlier this year. There’s potentially room, then, for somebody else to come along and fill that void.Australians will be able to sign up for a free Tubi account at www.tubi.tv from this Sunday.

Apple issues critical iOS patch to plug slip-up that allowed jailbreaking

The release of iOS 12.4 in July came with a number of small fixes and improvements, but alongside these was one thing Apple didn’t intend: the update also inadvertently re-opened a security flaw that made it easier for up-to-date iPhones to be jailbroken.Apple has now put out a new emergency patch – iOS version 12.4.1 – in response to the bug, which also happens to give hackers freer access to the accounts of iPhone users. For some background, a jailbroken iPhone or iPad is one that has been altered in such a way as to allow the user (or third parties) to install apps that haven’t been approved by Apple and without going through the App Store, and to modify the devices in a variety of ways that aren’t typically allowed by the OS.
What is jailbreaking?Apple’s iOS 12.4 and watchOS 5.3 updates fix Walkie Talkie vulnerabilityThe bug was initially found by Ned Williamson working with Google Project Zero, who was thanked in Apple’s release notes for iOS 12.4.1 as having discovered that “a malicious application may be able to execute arbitrary code with system privileges”.Also thanked in the notes is a security researcher who goes by the moniker Pwn20wnd and is responsible for first developing and publishing a working jailbreak for iOS 12.4. Speaking with Motherboard last week, Pwn20wnd stated that “it is very likely that someone is already exploiting this bug for bad purposes”.If you’re a regular, non-jailbreaking user and your device hasn’t been updated to iOS 12.4.1 we’d strongly advise that you do so, as security expert have warned that it’s significantly easier for bad actors to sneak malicious code into apps while a public jailbreak is available.

Intel rumored to release 10-core Comet Lake CPUs for desktops in 2020

Intel rumored to release 10-core Comet Lake CPUs for desktops in 2020

Intel recently made a huge splash with the release of its Comet Lake processors for laptops and tablets, but that doesn’t mean it’s done. Hong Kong-based website, XFastest, recently shared three leaked slides from an anonymous source showing an Intel Core platform boasting a new Intel 400 series chipset and an LGA 1200 socket. To top that off, these slides also include a roadmap indicating that the 10-core Comet Lake CPUs for desktop computers are slated to roll out in the first quarter of 2020.Based on the slides, this new chipset looks to be designed to support up to 10-core and 20-thread processors. The platform details also suggest that the enthusiast level TDP is seeing a bump of up to 125W from the previous 95W for enhanced core & memory overclocking. According to ExtremeTech, Intel might be trying to avoid cutting the base clock speed as it did when moving from the 8th to 9th generations as well. The updated LGA 1200 socket and Intel 400 series chipset means that you’ll need to buy a new motherboard with these specs if you want to upgrade once the Comet Lake-S processors come out. However, jumping on board with the Comet Lake-S also includes integrated support for 802.11ax, the next generation of wireless support also known as Wi-Fi6.With the potential roll-out of the Comet Lake desktop processors coming the beginning of 2020, there will be plenty more speculation on what to expect.
Intel reveals first AI chipsRead more about Intel’s Ice Lake 10nm laptop offeringsHere are the best processors you can buy in 2019How does this compare to Team Red?
While we’re still hoping for slimmer CPU’s from Intel to compete with AMD’s 7nm offerings, it has decided to stick with their tried-and-true 14nm process. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how Comet Lake-S compares to AMD’s newest Ryzen options, which already go up to 16 cores and 32 threads.Intel has always led with its single core performance, and we’re excited to see how Comet Lake-S improves upon its already powerful results. And, while AMD will probably still outperform Intel in the multi-core department, maybe the extra 2 cores and increased TDP will close the gap.The true test for most people will be price. There’s no information on that yet, Intel might try and shake up AMD’s top-flight offerings. Whatever the prices end up being, we’ll keep you up to date on Comet Lake-S news.

Kaspersky Security for Office 365 adds OneDrive protection

Kaspersky Security for Office 365 adds OneDrive protection

As businesses have moved away from local storage in favor of cloud storage, protecting sensitive files and documents stored in the cloud has become a top priority for organizations. However, according to Kaspersky’s “Sorting out digital clutter in business” report, two thirds (66%) of office workers can hardly remember what files they put in shared folders. This opens them up to security risks as malicious files could be stored right alongside company documents.Without a dedicated layer of protection in place, cloud storage can become a transfer space for malware to be distributed across an entire organization, jeopardizing sensitive business data and overall workflow.
Kaspersky launches free CyberTrace threat intelligence toolCompanies don’t think their cloud can keep up with securityAn inside look at Kaspersky NeXTTo help organizations better protect the files they store in the cloud, Kaspersky Security for Microsoft Office 365 has expanded its protection capabilities from Exchange Online to also include files stored on Microsoft’s OneDrive cloud storage service.
OneDrive protection
Kaspersky’s new anti-malware protection for OneDrive includes signature-based detection combined with heuristic, behavioral analysis and the latest threat intelligence to help prevent organizations from falling victim to known and zero-day threats.Kaspersky Security can detect suspicious content stored on OneDrive and the service even has the ability to immediately delete an infected file before it spreads further.Head of B2B Product Marketing at Kaspersky, Sergey Martsynkyan explained how additional cloud storage security can benefit workplace productivity, saying:“Shared storage options, such as OneDrive, are popular and widely used business tools. But if employees can have instant and easy access to shared files, then so too can malware. Businesses need to understand this risk and ensure they are not compromising their productivity due to cyberthreats, by protecting their data and workflows. Our product provides such protection for Microsoft Office 365, allowing companies to use its collaborative features and focus on day-to-day operations, rather than worrying about the security of their data.”

The best Ultrabooks in Australia for 2019: top thin and light laptops reviewed

The best Ultrabooks in Australia for 2019: top thin and light laptops reviewed

Update: While we had previously recommended the Huawei MateBook 13 and the Huawei MateBook X Pro in the top two places, the ongoing trouble the company faces with the US Government casts a great deal of uncertainty on the degree of support its products will receive into the future. As such, we recommend the excellent Dell XPS 13 in their stead. We can largely thank Apple and its MacBook Air for the Ultrabook trend we’re seeing. Where large, clunky laptops aren’t sleek enough, and thin, portable tablets aren’t powerful enough, the Ultrabook shines.A unibody chassis packed with some of the best SSDs, processors and battery life available to devices this size, the Ultrabook is a thin and portable marvel that’ll let you get on with your business, browsing or buffering without the lengthy wait times. With TechRadar’s extensive reviewing and lab testing, we’ve got a strong idea of what’s going to cut it in today’s Ultrabook landscape, and on this page we’ve ranked the best of the best so that you can find yourself a bargain on the cream of the crop.Whether you’re chasing the well-known brands like Dell, HP, Microsoft and Lenovo, or some surprise entrants like Huawei and Razer, we’ve got you covered.
The best laptops in Australia: our picks of the top laptops on sale nowThe best 2-in-1 laptop in Australia: find the best convertible for your needsIf you want to know exactly what to consider before buying an Ultrabook, check out our video below:

Weighing in at a measly 1.21kg and measuring just 76mm thick, the Dell XPS 13 is the epitome of an Ultrabook, and it has the reputation and power to back up the ‘Ultra’ part too. You won’t find that it’s the most affordable Ultrabook, but it’s one of the most well-balanced option in Australia right now, with a healthy portioning of power and portability. It wields the latest 8th-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 CPUs, obviously, but it also rocks three USB Type-C ports and the option of an Alpine White finish that we’re absolutely in love with. Read the full review: Dell XPS 13

For years, HP’s Spectre line of Ultrabooks and 2-in-1 laptops has been about blending elegance with performance. The 2019 HP Spectre x360 15 is no different. It deserves a high place on our best 2-in-1 laptops list for packing an 8th-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics and 8GB of RAM in its base configuration. This 2-in-1 can handle pretty much anything your everyday workload throws at it – and then some (like a bit of light gaming, for example) – while looking like royalty. Bear in mind that the Spectre x360 is a bit big and heavy for a 2-in-1, so you likely won’t be using it in tablet mode that often. Put it in tent mode instead, so you can watch some movies on its spectacular 4K display.Read the full review: HP Spectre x360 15T (2019)
Our pick for the pinnacle of laptops you can buy in Australia for 2019 would be the Huawei MateBook 13, were it not for the ongoing issues the company faces. Like the MateBook X Pro before it, the MateBook 13 packs some of the latest components and tech into a nifty lightweight package at an affordable price. It’s this deft balance that would give it the slight edge over the reigning champ, the Dell XPS 13, if it weren’t for the unknown future of support for the device. Read the full review: Huawei MateBook 13

The Huawei MateBook X Pro’s recent arrival had put it firmly in the top place of our Australian ultrabook list, but its been bested by its more affordable successor, and recent controversies cast doubt on the future of its support. This gorgeous laptop brings high-end components into an elegantly-designed package that puts even the MacBook Pro to shame – all this on a decent battery life to boot. And, with its 3K touchscreen, the Huawei MateBook X Pro has a display that’s just as nice to look at as the chassis. It’s really the best Ultrabook you can buy today. Read the full review: Huawei MateBook X Pro

The Lenovo Yoga C930 has many of the makings of the best ultrabook – from a whopping 14.5 hours of battery life and dual Thunderbolt-enabled USB-C ports to internal components that will breeze through those daily productivity tasks. That’s without even mentioning a 2-in-1 that offers form versatility so you can squeeze in some light gaming and movie-watching post-productivity. It has a few cherries on top as well, namely the integrated self-charging stylus and the fab speaker system.Read the full review: Lenovo Yoga C930

While we acknowledge that Intel’s Ultrabook specification is basically the Windows response to Apple’s MacBook Air, it wouldn’t be fair to not give Apple right of reply in this field. The latest MacBook Pro with Touch Bar is a sleek beast, offering some excellent and reliable performance with its quad-core CPU, and while you will be paying the kind of premium you’d expect from Apple, there are few Ultrabooks out there that get the balance of design and user experience quite as right as the MacBook Pro.Read our full review: MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (13-inch, mid-2018)

When you lay your eyes on the HP Spectre 13 for the first time, you might be blinded by its sheer beauty. HP has taken the already-beautiful Spectre, and spruced it up with gold trim and packed it with internal specs that blow the competition out of the water. One of the first Ultrabooks packing a quad-core CPU, the 2017 Spectre 13 more than doubles the CPU performance of most of its competitors. It comes at the cost of battery life, but clocking in at just under 6 hours – the battery is still passable. Read the full review: HP Spectre 13

Razer has to deal with the common misconception that it’s solely a gaming laptop and peripheral company, a reputation it subverted when it introduced the Blade Stealth back in 2016. And, if you’re unconvinced, the latest edition of the Razer Blade Stealth may change your mind by turning into a 13.3-inch, QHD+ beauty. There’s no longer the option for 4K, but the performance this Ultrabook delivers is worth the compromise. Read the full review: Razer Blade Stealth

Rarely does a company think of everything when designing a laptop, but for what it’s worth, the HP Spectre x360 comes surprisingly close. It’s a 2-in-1 convertible laptop, which by default makes it not for everyone. Still, for those right-brained users out there, it comes bundled with a Windows Ink-compatible stylus, unlike the vast majority of hybrids. That would mean very little if the HP Spectre x360 didn’t have great sound and visuals, though it evidently does.Read the full review: HP Spectre x360

Anyone familiar with Apple’s thinnest and lightest laptop would be wise to compare the Asus ZenBook 3 to the 12-inch MacBook. The similarities are obvious, but one look at the specs and the differences stand out too. Adorned with the choice of a U-series Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, the ZenBook 3 is awfully powerful considering it’s less than half an inch thick and weighs two pounds. The port selection is sparse, but ultimately it’s well worth the sacrifice, as it’s one of the best Asus laptops on the market.Read the full review: Asus ZenBook 3

It’s no secret that Apple has all but neglected the MacBook Air recently, but in some cases a Windows Ultrabook can be just as good, if not better. Take the Asus ZenBook UX310, for example, the long awaited follow-up to the award-winning ZenBook UX305. Donning a 7th generation Intel Kaby Lake processor, a 178-degree rotating QHD+ screen, a USB-C port and an all-aluminium shell, this truly is a candidate for the MacBook Air’s throne.  Read the full review: Asus ZenBook UX310

The original Surface Laptop hit the streets nearly two years ago, and while it was a fantastic Ultrabook, it was held back by relatively weak hardware and Windows 10 S. Thankfully, Microsoft rolled out the Surface Laptop 2 in late 2018, bringing quad-core processors and the full-fat version of Windows 10. Its through these core improvements that the Surface Laptop 2 is able to bring the purest Windows 10 experience on a laptop – not to mention, join the ranks of the best ultrabooks on the market – at a price that won’t make you flee in the opposite direction. Read the full review: Surface Laptop 2

If you’re looking to get your hands on an entry-level Ultrabook that can get some work done (without spending a fortune), the Lenovo Yoga 730 should be at the top of your list. Sure, it doesn’t have the longest battery life, but with how much (or how little) this device will set you back, it’s a worthy trade off – especially considering the speedy SSD storage, quad-core processor and 8GB of RAM you’re getting at the entry level. For anyone on a budget, the Lenovo Yoga 730 is certainly one of the best Ultrabooks around right now.Read the full review: Lenovo Yoga 730
